The Lord has provided a new FREEPHONE telephone number for our Christian Helpline based on Jeremiah 33: 3

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."

The switch-over to our new number took place on 1st July 2024. Praise the Lord for His generosity.

We have now produced  our own car stickers that adhere to the inside of a front or rear screen.  If you would be willing to help us advertise our service in this way, please contact us by clicking on the link below.  We will post one or more out to you free of charge.

On  Friday 6th October 2023 at St Lawrence's Church in Skellingthorpe, seven members of our New Kapporet family joined in a service to celebrate  the life of our dear brother in Christ, John Clarke (aka John 2008) .  John was a wonderful husband, father, listener and supporter of this Ministry, who went to be with his Lord on 10th September 2023.  May he rest in peace in the arms of his Saviour, until we meet again at the resurrection. 

For the first time this year, New Kapporet had a stand at the AWAKEN event at the Lincolnshire Showground (25-28 August). The stand excited considerable interest amongst the thousands of attendees. We have certainly spread the word that our Christian Helpline is available for all those who need a listening ear and some shared prayer time.  We also received 13 expressions of interest from Christians who would like to join us as Listeners.  That really is a great blessing from the Lord.

We have appointed a new Director for the next three years. Fionnaigh Reid was nominated by her peers after a time of prayerful consultation with the Lord. She joined us  in 2021 as  a Listener and became a Watch Leader and member of the Steering Group in 2022, with particular responsibility for encouraging prayer in the Ministry. In her previous life, she was a Congregational minister and hospice chaplain. She now lives in the north of Scotland.  Our first Director, Tim Harding, continues to serve the Ministry as a Listener, Watch Leader and member of the Steering Group.

This 12-year old from Southwell in Nottinghamshire ran his first ever marathon on 23rd April on behalf of New Kapporet.  Dexter attends Riverside Church, which has been a great supporter of our Ministry. He completed his marathon in 5 hrs 50 mins and raised £2250 for the Ministry.  Well done Dexter!
